  The Soul Behind the Edge As an artist, I have a passion for bringing other people's visions to life through illustration. Inspired by Kitchen Samurai, I incorporated their signature flower logo and name in Japanese, celebrating their identity and love for Japanese culture. The warrior-inspired chef symbolises discipline, precision and dedication. The vibrant ingredients and flowing movement represent culinary creativity, while the knives honour the craftsmanship and skill behind every dish. Knowing the owner's passion for Japan, cooking and knife-making, I wanted to capture the soul behind it all. Because a knife is more than steel. It is forged with passion, guided by precision and brought to life by the chef who holds it.

  Happy Octo

  So this is Happy Octo, his cooking up a storm with the handcrafted knifes from kitchen Samurai. I added some details as Octo holding knifes and when kitchen samurai was established in 2018. I think this design is cute and happy and I think it's easy wearable and unisex.

  Wu-Kitchen Samurai

  I kept it simple and wanted to play with my idea of a Kitchen Samurai. A two-blade wielding, Wu-Tang listening, no nonsense hero in chunky kicks. I was inspired by the coloring and line feel of old Japanese Lino cuts prints, in the blue and red ink, as well as a sprinkle of Japanese street fashion.
